Part one of my straight edge art project for school.

This was pretty simple to make. I constructed my own canvas my building a sturdy wooden frame, and stretching the plaid material over it just like a canvas and stapled it in place.
I used a stock image as a basis for my riso stencil, i'm really sorry if you created that stock image but I can't remember who you are haha so just let me know. =]

Also, the cigarette is real, the beer cans are real, but the "cocaine" is actually talcum powder, and the "marijuana" is grass from my backyard.

Basically the thing that ties the three pieces together, is the stencil. It's meant to represent that straight edge is in my heart, and it's a part of me. The white represents purity, but it's set apart from the drugs and alcohol that are so common in today's society, and that were popular in the punk scene, hence the tartan/plaid material.
